Found hidden in Apple’s website is an advertisement for an engineering job.
A certain page on the tech giant’s website begins with the text: “Hey there! You found us. We are looking for a talented engineer to develop a critical infrastructure component that is to be a key part of the Apple ecosystem.”
The page, “us-east-1.blobstore.apple.com”, has been removed. Blobstore is Apple’s name for a series of its servers.
Zack Whittaker, a cyber security reporter for CNet, discovered it while analyzing data send from Apple iPhone mobile apps.
He says, “As part of the stream of traffic I could see, it was connecting to this one URL – and there it was.”
If you found a secret job posting online, would you apply for the position?
