The Ways of making a Soundproof Floor

In internal concrete and wood floors the resistance to sound transmission is achieved by several ways(The Ways of making a Soundproof Floor). First is the mass of the floor, applying sound-insulating material at some point of manufacture, and the formation of voids between a heavy element of construction (e.g., concrete slab) and a thin and rigid plate, which usually forms a raised floor or concrete floors. Offering a good sound insulation is important because of their mass and because it does not allow the creation of discontinuities in the structure. Wooden flooring insulation is considered necessary. Also the perimeter of the walls must be relatively thick (> 112 mm bricks) to prevent the passage of sound there through.

A. Wooden floor without bearing concrete slab with solid insulating layers between the beams and joists and insulating layer between the ceiling and the floor
1. Wooden flooring 25 mm.
2. Trabeculae 50 x 45 (mm).
3. Rubber seal.
4. Beam floor (dimensions vary by case).
5. Glass wool or rock wool 100 mm.
6. Roof of double plasterboard with a total thickness of about 30 mm.

B. Wooden floor without bearing concrete slab with solid insulation layer and the insulation layer between the ceiling and the floor.
1. Wooden floor 25 mm.
2. Durable insulating layer 25 mm.
3. Wood particle board or wood fiber 15 mm.
4. Beam floor (dimensions vary depending on the circumstances).
5. Soundproofing material 100 mm.
6. Roof of two plasterboard, with a total thickness of 40 mm.
